The yard sale was not really worthwhile. We sold about $70.00 worth of stuff. Considering the amount of time that went into sorting, pricing, and shuffling the boxes around for the past month, it was not worth the effort. Oh well, cash is cash. Continue reading DAY FIFTY-EIGHT: Yard Sale

DAY FIFTY-SEVEN: Friday
I think I’m mostly over my cold. I still have a trace of a residual cough, and I’m quite tired by the end of each day.
Tonight I shall be trying to sort and price items for the yard sale that we hope to hold tomorrow. Of course the weather is looking damp.
Again, I am feeling extremely frustrated because of the endless amount of stuff I have accumulated, and the way that no matter how much I think I have removed, the room still seems cluttered to the point of being impassible. I had to move a half-dozen boxes and bags to access the computer to type this post.
DAY FIFTY-SIX: Thursday
Last year, Thursday was my “official” weekly weigh-in day. That was back when I was exercising regularly and maintaining a mostly Paleo eating style. This year I am back at or above my starting weight of a year ago. In fact, my weight seems to be creeping upward. As of today I weighed in at a wopping
197 POUNDS
On the way to work today I stopped at WalMart and picked up a few more plastic storage bins. I need additional larger bins for odd-sized items.
DAY FIFTY-FIVE: Wednesday
Moving things from cardboard boxes into plastic storage containers, and pulling out stuff for a yard sale.
Back in 1912 or so, Theodore Roosevelt got shot prior to giving a speech. The bullet lodged in his rib. He spoke for an hour before going to the hospital. He recovered in about two weeks. It is taking me longer to recover from a mere COLD than it took T.R. to bounce back after GETTING SHOT! 🙁
DAY FIFTY-FOUR: Tuesday
Tired. Still coughing and easily tired. I sold the white key tops and the black wood keys from the piano I disassembled through eBay this past weekend. The white key tops sold for $26 including shipping and the black keys sold for $25 including shipping. I mailed off the white key tops today. I am awaiting payment on the black keys. Recently about one in three eBay sales results in a non-paying bidder.
Work is stupid and I hate it. How’s that for a mature, thoughtful, productive response to a situation?
On the bright side, my 37-1/2 inch stomach and 36-1/2 inch waistline are still smaller than the national average.
DAY FIFTY-THREE: Another Monday
Another Monday. Another early morning. Another day at work. Still feeling the vestiges of the cold, so I’m pretty well wiped out by the time I get home.
I stopped at WalMart on the way home from work and purchased a dozen plastic storage bins in a variety of sizes. I am intending to leave nothing packed in cardboard boxes by the time I’ve finished cleaning out The Room of Doom.
DAY FIFTY-TWO: Not Fully Recovered, But…
I am not yet fully recovered from the lingering cold that has been plaguing me for two solid weeks, but at least most of the sinus congestion has cleared up. A nagging, deep cough continues to bother me and my energy levels are low. Nevertheless, I puttered away at a few little projects today. Continue reading DAY FIFTY-TWO: Not Fully Recovered, But…
DAY FIFTY-ONE: Recap Fail
Today is supposed to be a halfway point recap on the progress I’ve made toward my “100 Days” goals. Now what were those goals again? Ever since I came down with this cold at least thirteen days ago I’ve felt too congested, woozy, and lethargic to do anything. I’m still not feeling much better – slightly less sinus congestion at this point, but the cough is lingering and I have zero energy or enthusiasm to do anything, including writing the recap I wanted to write.
I weighed myself today. 194.8 pounds. Stomach circumference is 38-1/2 inches relaxed, 37-1/2 inches pulled in.
DAY FIFTY: Inauspicious Omen
“Still sick with a cold” is all I have to say upon reaching the halfway point of my “100 Days” plan to change my life.
DAY FORTY-NINE: Still Sick
Are you getting tired of reading “still sick” updates? Well, I’m getting tired of writing them.
